A futuristic approach-Moving Gaming to Cloud

I was in constant fear due to my aging laptop as with the new games it needed a upgrade to support them. Everyone knows that upgrading a laptop is an expensive affair. I was wondering why we can’t find a solution to this with available technologies. I think the answer is cloud computing. Nowadays we see very large implementations being moved into the cloud space and infrastructure is being used in a wise manner. We also need to know that the popular games in facebook like Farmville can also be categorized as games in cloud.

If we move all our games to cloud then it’s just a plug and play type. All we need is switch on your laptop connect to net, login and start the action. The companies like EA sports, Microsoft also stand to benefit as if the gaming is moved to cloud it will totally eradicate piracy. Even from mobiles which have less computing power compared to desktops can be used as a medium to play power packed games.

But I guess it will take time to move gaming into cloud as still the penetration of broadband internet is low and initially it may face a stiff resistance from the gamers as even the fortune 500 companies are yet to move their entire IT infrastructure to cloud. But it will be a paradigm shift as the industry will coin a new term called GaaS which Is an acronym for Gaming as a Service.

Visit to BR hills, Bandipur,Mudumalai and Himavad Gopalswamy Betta

After a long wait a weekend outing was planned with family in the disguise of visit to temples. It looked picture perfect that it will one of the most memorable trips, but it was full of surprises, turns and twists to become a really unforgettable trip.It started with a visit to Bannari temple and there was surprise. The ghat road was closed for traffic as a lorry laden with Sugarcane capsized in a hair pin bend due to heavy load. I got plan B ready but to my surprise they opened traffic for light vehicles. The journey through Dimbam ghat road is always enjoyable with the road taking you to 1100 meters above mean sea level.

With a good road it took an hour to reach Chamrajnagar and 20 minutes to Yelandur and a detour to BR hills. The sanctuary was not green due to its dry and deciduous nature. The drive lasted for another 20 minutes through a thick forest leading to the summit and i was surprised as there was settlement on the summit.

The Bilgiri Rangaswamy temple was very old and the view from the top was breathtaking one. After a brief visit to the temple with full devotion my journey started to reach Bandipur through Gundulpet.

The road condition was very bad from Chamrajnagar to Gundulpet but the road was very straight. Then on reaching Bandipur the wildlife safari was too expensive but the funny thing was their suggestion to visit neighbouring  Mudumalai in Tamilnadu. On reaching Mudumalai, touts created nuisance yet we managed to get tickets for wildlife Safari.

The entry into Van greeted me “Sighting animals is purely luck”, i thought what would be my luck.I was able to spot few elephants, gaur, nilgiri languar and couple of peococks with my Dad passing comments “You can spot everything in Sathyamangalam and the visit is not great”.I was little bit shaken by his comments.

Then we took a small detour to visit Himavad (Ice in Kannada)Gopalswamy temple at Gopalswamy betta and the view was breathtaking along with the temple at the top. The temple had its own piece of history with icy garbagraha and the architecture was still unknown.

The return journey to Sathyamangalam had its own momemts with traffic blockage at the same Thimbam Ghats but this time at different hair pin bend due to overload delaying my return to home by more than an hour.It again gave me anxious momemts as i was in doubt whether i will catch train back to Chennai for work………

Indians are not Slumdogs but Underdogs

The Slumdog Millionaire is softly wound  on Indian diplomat based in South Africa Vikas Swarup’s  book Q and A has created a lot of sensation in the recently concluded award functions from Golden Globe to OSCARS.But most people in India also raised voice against the movie because it has shown India in a bad light. The proof is that technician who worked in this movie claimed that he was called "slumdog" by fellow Americans. The movie showcases the growth of a slum boy who was orphaned by communal riots where his mother was brutally murdered by mobs, followed by their sufferings in the hands of underworld and betrayal of Jamal by his brother. It also showcases the life in the red light regions of Mumbai. In reality it clearly shows how always success in our country is viewed with doubt that people succeed only by doing fraud.
The ill effects of the movie are
1.Indians undergo harrashment as they are called as Slumdogs in overseas but we should prove that we are underdogs who succeed coming from nowhere.
2.India will be visualised as a country of slums, dotted with communal problem.
3.It still creates a outrage in Islamic countries as it shows Hindu right wing groups indulging in mass massacre of fellow Muslims but in reality only Muslims are killing Hindus in Kashmir,WestBengal,,,,
4.Airports in our country are surrounded by only slums.
5.The law and order of  the cities are only in the hands of Gondas and under world.
6.Indian films can get recognition only when it is produced by Hollywood big banners like fox, warner bros..
The good things are
1.Anyone can up in life if they are intelligent but have to carry a little bit of luck which many lack including me.
2.The film cast and Technical crew were mostly Indians.
3.The Indian music has won many laurels and much awaited recognition, but the music is mostly masala mixture which we have heard from Roja to Delhi-6.
4.Allah Rakka Rahman’s phenominal growth from being Dilip Kumar to winner of oscars will surely inspire many Indians who are underdogs.
